21,317 political prisoners in Egypt’s coup prisons are being unjustly detained, treated inhumanely and denied basic medical needs, some not surviving. After being denied his medication for several days, Mahmoud Samy Aburukba died at the age of 60 on January 6, 2014 in Toura Prison. Detained since August 14, 2013 on the day of the Rabaa Massacre, Aburukba’s 5 children have now lost their father permanently. May God grant his family patience during this difficult time and give the Egyptian people the freedom and justice they deserve.
