Ibrahim Yahya, a student in the School of Pharmacy in Mansoura, Egypt, was sentenced to death in absentia for charges in which the corrupt authorities obtained a confession through torture. Ibrahim was not given a fair trial where he could defend himself. They arrested Ibrahim on March 5, 2014 in order to fulfill on their death sentence. EADHR believes that a confession obtained through torture is illegitimate and must not be admissible in a court of law. EADHR is calling for a just and fair trial for Ibrahim.
